Photography, Global Warming and Climate Change

The method style we know as photography has forever been popular as being a front runner in documenting of the past. However, a new pattern for photographers internationally has been the recorded of global warming as distinguish through the lens of a camera. For most people, climate change statistics, charts and numbers have very little value. Images on the other hand really prove us what the outcomes actually are.

Arctic Climates

If the issue of global warming is brought up in a communication, attention usuall run to the arctic areas of the earth. Some of the majority proclaimed changes due to global warming have been captured in either the Arctic or Antarctic. Satellites in space have taken numerous of images showing the extreme changes occurring on the poles. Images taken just twenty years ago don’t seem to be just about the same as the current day images. While the oceans show to get bigger, the ice shelves carry on to decrease in dimension.

 Lakes and Oceans

Whilst the arctic regions fight for their very continued existence, the lakes, oceans and other bodies of water are concerned in their own struggle. Images taken not only from space but from aircraft and on land, illustrates changes in water levels by no means before recorded in human account. Lakes remain to minimize whilst shorelines continue to extend. In opposition, oceans are mounting and the beaches are getting lesser. Yet amateur or beginner photographers have the capability to get photos that have never before been seen by man, as land features either develop or recede.

Glaciers

Moreoever declining sufferer to the global warming phenomena, glaciers are at present being more closely observed and shoot. Photos that were taken decades ago were generally taken simply for their aesthetics. Recent photos are being taken to help out establish the rate of decompose that glaciers are experiencing. What used to be a beautiful portrait of an infinite ground of snow and ice fifty years before is currently a fewer than tempting photo~image~portrait~picture} of an everlasting  field~ground~area}  of rocks and dust with some snow and ice mixed in.

Rivers

Rivers are indeed not free from the effects of global warming. Flourishing rivers that used to run across countries are now shrunk down so far that ofte times they are not anything more than a dry river bed. On the other hand, rivers that are purely fed from glaciers are experiencing flooding during the spring months. These floods cause a new form of photos to the equation; photographs of the destructive force of a flood or flash flood. Often times these straightforward photos come from the lens of an individual who’s only think the day before was one of survival.

Extreme Weather

In latest years we have photos that were taken during a severe storm such as a hurricane or tornado violence. Sometimes survival preparation is the merely cause some of the photos were ever able to get into the public’s hands. Climate change calamities such as Hurricane Katrina brought forth extra and alarming photos, not solely of the storm itself as viewed from space but the aftermath of the typhoon.
