The Wonder of Solar Power, How it Works and Why We Need

Man is an ingenious soul. Wherever there is a need, a plan is put into action that provides a solution to that particular need. The creation of solar power, how it works and why it was not put into place some 150 years ago is simple. There was no need.

The idea behind solar power, how it works and ways in which it can be used, have provided many people with fire and light since the beginning of time. A reflection against a shiny stone, using the sun, as solar power, and starting a fire would keep travelers warm at night during trips across the country.

The concept of storing energy from solar power, how it works and utilizing as an alternative fuel did not happen until the mid 1800s. But the sun could not compete with the miraculous discovery of oil. There was nothing better and cheaper than crude oil that flowed freely from the ground. Oil turned into a prosperous idea, unlike the sun that would always be available to anyone.

It was never about which came first, the oil or solar power, how it works or if it could provide more than black gold. It was all about greed. Oil offered prosperity to anyone who could locate it and sell to others.

Energy and fuel followed and the amount of money that could be made everyone hungry for money. On the other hand, no one could own the sun that created solar power.

One hundred years later, life has changed. Petroleum has caused global warming, delivered smog and affected millions of people with respiratory illnesses. The sun, however, still rises in the east and settles in the west, just waiting for society to recognize its mistakes with oil.

Yes, man is ingenious in being able to take the benefits of the sun and turn into solar power. How it works and why we need it is becoming abundantly clear.

Hopefully, generations of the future will learn from our mistakes and evolve our primitive start with solar power, how it works and continue on a path that should have been followed long ago.

Solar power can be very effective in our lives while preserving our environment, meeting our needs and totally free of cost. Who knows what type of amazing things the future will bring with solar power, how it works in different applications and creating free energy for a world of people.

Only time will tell, if we don't discover what we think is another pot of gold, that is.
